Starting to get even more popular than Strider, the first game in the series, Strider 2 is a ninja game "made in Japan" conceived as a horizontal scrolling action game, a platform game with a lot of history involved.

As regards the argument, Strider 2 is the continuation of Strider. In the game you play the role of Strider Hiryu, a ninja fighter and the only one in the first part of the game who was able to challenge "The Grandmaster" to death, and in this case will do so again.
